Mycéphonie
A downloadable game
// Concept
Mycephonie is a playful and contemplative experience set in a dark forest illuminated by bioluminescent mushrooms. Sat in a tipi tent, the player can activate and deactivate each mushroom to make it gleam and sing, changing the surrounding atmosphere. There is no goal other than get immerse in this poetic atmosphere. Between playful and artistic, Mycephonie aims to encourage users to let go of reality and plunge into a poetic atmosphere where light and sound bounce and echo off each other.
Controller and experience
In Mycephonie, the user interacts with their environment using a joystick to select, activate and deactivate the various mushrooms. This triggers or stops sound and animation loops on both the mushrooms and the surrounding scenery. Each mushroom has its own specific sound category (bass, melody, percussion or bell). They can be combined to create a wide variety of musical compositions, each with its own visual ambience.
